Neighborhood feel

South Sioux City is "where quality of life is a cardinal rule." Given its proximity to the Mighty Mo, the city doesn't have the hills of its northern urban neighbor, but the lively and diverse character of this small town is anything but flat.  The hustle of Sioux City is literally over the river and through the woods from this tight-knit small town, making both areas lovely escapes for each other. The South Sioux City school system is another reason why several residents grow roots here.

type of homes

South Sioux City was incorporated in 1887, so it features a charming mix of turn-of-the-century homes with vintage character as well as those of modern construction. Regardless of the style or age of the home, nearly every neighborhood benefits from a close proximity to the Al Bengtston Recreational Trail, a paved trail system that currently goes for 19 miles of scenic views and connects to the 57-mile Tri-State Trail.
